This week Dr. Domke tells us how to trim our toenails to avoid the dreaded (and painful) ingrown toenail...and he discusses onychomycosis (say: "on-ee-koh-my-ko-sis"), a fungus that causes toenail or fingernail infection. This infection can make your nails thick and discolored. Your nails may also be brittle or change their shape. You may even have pain in your toes or fingertips. Dr. Domke also answers a question from a patient: Should I consider getting a full-body scan for routine diagnostic purposes.
